Katy was an Opera Singer for 12 years before retraining for a Garden Design Diploma at the English Gardening School.

Katy has a blog called Katyinthegarden and is a Garden Designer and works mentoring beginner gardeners.
In 2025 Katy Watson became the new Country Garden Garden Expert on Alan Titchmarsh his Gardening Programme Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club Season 2 2025 which was first aired on Monday 10 March 2025 at 2 pm.
