Camilla attended the Pershore College of Horticulture for her Horticulture studies and qualified in 2000 and she even had Chris Beardshaw as one of her tutors!
Camilla Bassett-Smith first appeared alongside Alan Titchmarsh on Love Your Weekend in 2020 and soon became a regular face presenting the gardening slots and becoming equally known for her choice of headwear.
Camilla again appeared on Alan 'Spring into Summer' Programme in 2021 which celebrated all things to do with Hampshire.
Although this was not a gardening programme it did feature gardening as part of its diverse appreciation of the area and its changing seasons.
Camilla's Cottage Garden at Manor Farm was started from scratch and features like her Pizza in a pot encouraged us to get out and enjoy the post Covid growing seasons.
in 2024 Camilla Bassett-Smith became the new Horticulturist on Alan Titchmarsh new Gardening Programme Alan Titchmarsh's Gardening Club which was first aired on Monday 4 March at 2 PM.
As well as Alan and Camilla it also has Horticulturist David Domoney, Community Gardener Tayshan Hayden-Smith, House Plant Expert Sarah Gerrard-Jones, Organic Gardener Anna Greenland and Lucy Willcox Garden Designer.
Camilla is a member of the RHS Bulb Committee which is her passion, she has appeared on the Radio, has been producer or assistant producer on several Garden television programmes and has written for various Gardening magazines and columns.
