Tom Brown is a Head Gardener, Garden Writer, Garden Judge and a new Presenter on Gardeners' World 2023
Tom first got interested in gardening at 16 started his gardening career at the prestigious RHS Wisley Gardens working in their Garden Centre.
He then started his training at Merrist Wood College, before returning to Wisley to work full time and spent 8 years there gaining experience and moving up to Senior Supervisor.
Tom then spent 10 years as Head Gardener at Parham House & Gardens.
Tom joined West Dean Gardens in May 2019 as Head of the garden team, and then Covid-19 struck in 2020 causing the gardens to close to the Public.
Tom Brown first appeared on Gardeners' World on 02 April 2019 when they visited him at Parham House & Gardens and again on 17 April 2020 when they visited him at West Dean Gardens for a tour when he had just taken over as Head Gardener.
His Presenting Debut on Gardeners' World 2023 was on 13 October 2023 when he visited RHS Garden Bridgewater to see their plant trials and to see how plants gain the award of garden merit.
Hopefully we will see more of Tom on the show in 2024?
Tom is a regular contributor on BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey, an RHS Show Judge plus Committee Member.
He regularly writes for the Telegraph Newspaper and magazines like BBC Gardener’s World Magazine and Gardens Illustrated.
