Garden Rescue returns for Series 7 on Monday 09 May 2022 on BBC1.
This series sees the departure of some of the Programme most popular ever Garden Designers, The Rich Brothers Harry & David and Arit Anderson.
Still remaining is the Garden Designer that has been in the Programme the longest Charlie Dimmock who has been in the programme since it was first shown in 2016.
Returning from Garden Rescue 2021 Series 6 is Lee Burkhill AKA The Ninja Gardener and he features in the first 3 episodes of the first week of programmes in the new series.
New Garden Designer for this series is, Flo Headlam who was previously a presenter on Gardeners' World.
Flo makes her first appearance in Episode 6.
The second new Presenter for the new series is Chris Hull, who makes his debut in Episode 4.
The show returns with the same format as previous series, where the homeowner needs help to design and landscape their garden usually to a theme. then calls in Garden Rescue.
The show has not returned to the pre Covid format, so the 2 Designers visit the garden and then draw up their plans to a budget.
The homeowners then watch them being presented via a laptop.
They then decide which scheme to go with and the losing Designer helps the winning one do the garden.
Then we have the grand reveal to the homeowner.
Does the show need a change of format now it has been running for 7 series with 185 Episodes in total up to the last series?
The format may be a little stale but they are still coming up with fresh Designs and ideas as well as tips and plant advice!
For an afternoon slot, sat down with a cuppa you cannot beat Garden Rescue for some armchair gardening with thoughts of 'I might do that in my garden' and 'where are the Rich Brothers'?!!

ReplyDeleteBring back the rich brothers please it just isn’t the same without them!
ReplyDeleteI want to watch episode Charlie mad garden mounds into a grass chair
ReplyDeleteWhere are the new episodes gone, it was an old one today
ReplyDeleteThis has become boring and seems to be geared towards Charlie Dimmock. I have watched several episodes and Lee Burkhill always loses out to Charlie, but his designs are stunning. There is no competition any more.
ReplyDeleteWhy are hedgehogs never given space in garden makeovers? Wildlife doesn't stop at bird feeders
