Beechgrove 2021 Episode 5 29 April 2021

Carole Baxter welcomes us to Episode 5 of Beechgrove 2021 by saying its a bit nippy there as she introduces Mairi Rattray Head Gardener and Kirsty Wilson who is back in the garden for the first time this series.

They are in Carole favourite garden, the Woodland Garden and Kirsty says it is looking beautiful and Carole points out a couple of gems, the Yellow Erythronium and the Hepaticas.

Kirsty really likes the Cardamine Pentaphylla and Mairi like the Trillium Rivale that are starting to come up.

Beechgrove 2021 Episode 4 22 April 2021

Carole Baxter welcomes us to Episode 4 of  Beechgrove 2021 and introduces us to Mairi Rattray the Head Gardener who is helping her do some pruning and they are happy to have Brian Cunningham back in the garden after last weeks snow.

Mairi says there was no snow this week but it has been cold and dry and nice to see the sun is out today. 

She is a little worried they have had no rain and the sun makes for more watering in the greenhouses.

The Great Garden Revolution

The Great Garden Revolution was first shown on Channel 4 on 01 May 2021.

This new garden makeover programme was in a Saturday night slot which is unusual for a gardening programme but was also available on More4.

Poppy Okotcha

Poppy Okotcha is a model turned turned Horticulturist and Ecological Gardener who was born in London in 1996 but spent her early years in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The family moved back to Wiltshire, England when she was 12 years old.

Her mum was always growing food for the family and when they moved back to the UK they made a garden together and she gained her love of the natural world.
