She was also a holistic and well-being therapist.
Her creative skills for colour and the healing properties of her holistic training combined to create an interest in her own garden design.
This new found love of horticulture lead to her seeking more formal training and she started a gardening course at Capel Manor College obtaining a NOCN Diploma in Garden Design.

In 2013 along with other students Arit won RHS Fresh Talent award at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Arit achieved a Gold Medal in 2016 at RHS Hampton Court.
Arit Anderson joined Garden Rescue in 2019 Series 4 to compete against the Rich Brothers Harry and David to be the winning design in this Television Garden Makeover Show.
This caused concern amongst Charlie Dimmock fans as Charlie hadn't appeared in the first two episodes of the series they thought she had replaced Charlie.
Arit Anderson's unique garden design ideas led to her becoming a hit with fans.
Arit is a guest presenter on Gardeners' World alongside Monty Don and also writes for Gardeners' World Magazine.
In 2020 Arit co-presented Heavenly Gardens with Alexander Armstrong. Shown at Easter the 2 part programme visited religious sites and their gardens across Great Britain.
Arit Anderson is a Trustee for the National Garden Scheme.
